Planned, preventative maintenance (PPM) is the term given to the scheduled maintenance programme applied to the assets within a building premises or the scheduled maintenance of the building fabric itself. PPM programmes or schedules are put in place to maintain regulatory compliance, reduce breakdowns, and to ensure the correct and efficient running of assets and to ensure asset longevity.

Depending on the type of premises, the period or timescale between inspections differs. These inspections must be carried out by qualified electrical engineers.
R&B electricians can inspect, test and NICEIC certify any existing electrical installation in all types of premises, industrial, commercial, or residential while strictly adhering to the latest requirements of the BS 7671 IEE Wiring Regulations. Any departures from the regulations or items considered unsafe would be reported so that corrective measures could be taken.
